The Honour Roll
In Martin's "H.B. Co. Land Tenures" is found a petition to the
Prince Regent after the troubles of 1816 asking the troops and steps
to be taken for their their preservation. As these are those from a11 the parties,
who held fast to Red River Settlement, they are worthy oF the highest honour.
These were the real Kildonan settlers whom Lord Selkirk saw on his visit in 1871..
